Commitment of employees and the Management Board of Blue Marine Mielno to apply above-standard safety precautions during the COVID-19 epidemic
The current period of the epidemic is a very mobilizing time for all of us. The safety of our Guests has always been our top priority, but the present time of the epidemic increases the rank of all activities aimed at minimizing the risk of contracting any infectious disease. That is why the day of reopening of Blue Marine Mielno is at the same time the moment of taking great responsibility for the health of both you, those who come here for holidays, and our colleagues with whom we work every day. For that reason, we have made a commitment that every day, with absolute diligence, we will carry out ALL the following activities for the sake of our common safety, thus fulfilling the guidelines of the safe hotels program and meeting the requirements of the nationwide certificate “Hygienically Safe Facility”.
Activities to ensure a safe stay in room
- Professional disinfection of the room (ozonation or fogging) before making available ANY new room
- Washing bed linen ONLY in certified laundries using the most aggressive washing processes
- Use of certified cleaning agents that are safe for people with CONFIRMED antivirus effect to clean rooms
- Dishes available in the rooms are washed and steamed in industrial dishwashers after each stay
- Full transparency of information in regards with cleaning rooms - on request, we provide a record of work that was carried out in the room before your arrival
- During your entire stay, NO MEMBER of the staff shall enter your room while you are away (except in an emergency, such as a flood or fire).
Activities ensuring safe stay in common areas
- Professional disinfection of common areas (fogging) EVERY morning
- Cleaning of common areas using certified agents that are safe for people with CONFIRMED antivirus effectiveness
- Regular daytime disinfection of frequently touched parts (door handles, buttons in elevators, handrails, etc.)
- Provision of hand sanitizer dispensers at the entrances, reception, public toilets and on each floor near elevators
- Organization of the check-in and check-out process in a way that minimizes contact with reception staff and other Guests (remote check-in system)
- A categorical imperative to use gloves, masks or helmets by the facility employees while staying in common areas
- People who show symptoms of the disease on the day of arrival (e.g., have a high temperature) or were exposed to a high probability of COVID-19 infection within a few days before arrival will have to be refused to be let in. Please change the date of your arrival in an agreement with the Reception.
- NOBODY has quarantined or shall be able to quarantine at our facility
- Unconditional compliance with all recommendations of the state administration and recommendations of hotel associations
Actions to ensure safe eating
- All raw materials are purchased only from proven and certified suppliers
- We work according to the developed and implemented safety procedures (in the HACCP system) for the entire meal preparation process - from the receipt of goods to the delivery of a ready meal
- EVERY employee (regardless of the scope of their duties) is subjected to body temperature measurements before the commencement of work. Any employees with symptoms of disease are not allowed to work.
- All our dishes and cutlery are washed and scalded each time in professional washing equipment from reputable manufacturers
- Kitchens and restaurants are cleaned ONLY with cleaning agents provided to us by reputable manufacturers of industrial chemicals and disinfectants.
- Employees have a STRICT obligation to work with the use of personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, visors and disposable aprons)
- We have resigned from open self-service buffets - Guests can see the dishes through the glass in the buffet and let the staff know what they would like to have put on their plates. Food in buffets can be accessed only by staff wearing masks/helmets and gloves.
- We apply the principle of social distancing in restaurants - we have reduced the number of tables, ensuring a minimum distance of 2 meters between them
- Tables and chairs are sanitized after each Guest use.

FUNCTIONING DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
This document provides information on our functioning in the CURRENT legal regime. It does NOT mean that all the restrictions listed below will still apply while you are planning your stay. We hope that the epidemic situation in Poland will gradually improve, and that the regulations and recommendations of sanitary services and state administration will be regularly relaxed with it, and we will be able to return to the most normal ways of functioning.
Is it true that only 2 people can be accommodated in the rooms?
No. As before, we are able to accommodate families with children. For children up to 3 years of age, you can rent a travel cot (additionally payable - please report such a need to our reception desk before arrival). Children up to 13 years of age can sleep in two on the fold-out sofa. Our rooms are mostly used by couples with 2 children.
How will the meals offered under the HB package purchased be served?
The regulations currently in force make it IMPOSSIBLE to serve meals for direct consumption in our restaurant. We have launched buffets with chef or waiter service. You can see the meals prepared by our kitchen through the protective glass. You choose the dishes to be put in boxes by the staff and then take them to your rooms. The rooms are equipped with sets of plates and cutlery as well as a sink with a dryer. Used food packaging should be thrown into the black bag (located under the sink) and placed in a TIED bag at the entrance of the room. The staff will pick up the garbage at the entrance to your door and leave a new clean bag.
Can I use the restaurant apart in addition to package meals?
Yes, you can. The menu card is available on our website Menu_Blue_Marine. You can place an order directly with the waiter in the restaurant or via our APP from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. After receiving the notification, you will be able to collect your order “to go” or it will be delivered to your room by our service (the method of receiving the order is specified in the application). ATTENTION! Until February 28 inclusive, orders can only be placed with waiters at the restaurant and collected in person. From March 1, the application will be restarted! We apologize for inconvenience.
Is the method of meal preparation safe for me?
Our facility, like every large mass catering point, is subject to regular control carried out by inspectors of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Koszalin. Meals are prepared in accordance with the procedures strictly defined by the HACCP system. Workstations are systematically washed and disinfected after every operation. Kitchen areas are regularly cleaned and disinfected during the day using certified detergents and disinfectants. Food preparation staff works with the use of personal protective equipment (gloves, masks or helmets, protective aprons). Kitchen equipment (dishes and work tools) are washed and scalded in professional industrial dishwashers after each use using cleaning and disinfecting agents from reputable manufacturers.
Can I use the bar?
Yes, our lobby bar is open every day from 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Our current offer of drinks and snacks is available on our website: Menu-Lobby-Bar
Beverages purchased in bars can currently only be consumed in your room - the bartender will prepare a drink for you in a disposable glass/mug, which can be thrown into the trash in the room after use.
How will I be able to safely check in at Blue Marine Mielno?
Before your planned arrival date, you will receive an e-mail with information on how you can remotely fill in your registration form online. After completing the form (please do so at least 24 hours before your arrival to us), you will receive information on the next steps after your arrival (where to drive by car, which entrance to use, etc.). If we receive a completed Registration Form from you before your arrival, we will not only be prepared for your needs indicated in the card, but also the check-in procedure will be limited to a minimum - you will only pay for your stay (if you have not made all the payments remotely before arrival) and collect the cards for room and entrance to the parking lot. A deposit of PLN 100 will be charged on your card at check-in, which will be returned on the day of departure, provided that all devices borrowed to the room during your stay are settled. For the common safety of all of us, we recommend electronic payment methods, and the use of cash should be kept to an absolute minimum.
Can I be denied admission to the facility?
When completing the Registration Form, you will be asked to answer questions about your health and the health of people with whom you will be staying in the room. If, as a result of the information provided to us, our receptionist determines that your health or the health of any of your family members meets the conditions set out in the current RM Regulation, we will be obliged to refuse you to check-in and arrange a different date of arrival, provided that the sick person recovers fully. That is why it is so important that you fill out the Registration Form online before your arrival.
Will the room be properly disinfected before my arrival?
We treat each released room as if it were a contaminated place, therefore it will undergo a full decontamination procedure before it is made available to other Guests again. The safety of our Guests and crew is our priority. The rooms are aired and then professionally disinfected. We use 2 equivalent methods of decontamination - ozonation or fogging. EVERY disinfection process is carried out by a trained employee.
Only after the decontamination process is completed, our room service enters the safe room to perform regular cleaning.
Will any of the staff enter my room during my stay?
No. No one on staff will enter your room. In accordance with applicable sanitary regulations and recommendations, we DO NOT clean the rooms during your stay. Disposable packaging after meals and other rubbish will have to be packed into the provided bags (black) and put in the corridor.
If you need to change towels, please report it at the reception. Our cleaning service will provide you with clean towels in a blue bag and leave them at the entrance to your room. We kindly ask you to pack used towels in the colored bag, in which they were provided clean and put them at the entrance to your door. Our cleaning service will collect them.
Is the bedding used by Blue Marine Mielno washed safely?
The laundries used by Blue Marine Mielno have the most important safety certificates. We use professional hotel bedding, which is adapted to aggressive washing processes (very disinfecting detergents, washing at high temperatures).
Will I be in any danger if the neighboring rooms are sanitized during my stay?
There is nobody at risk. Sanitized rooms will be locked, marked with a clear sign warning against opening the door, and the gaps between the door and the door frame will be taped. The gas we use for disinfection is ozone (tri-atomic oxygen), which is harmful only in a sufficiently high concentration - in the event that even a small amount of it escapes into the corridor, it will rapidly decompose into natural oxygen, which is in the atmosphere. On the other hand, the common parts are disinfected only by fogging with agents based on ethyl alcohol, which are harmless to humans.
How will my safety be ensured in the common areas?
Common parts, especially places that are frequently touched by many Guests (e.g., door handles at the building entrance, buttons in elevators, etc.), are regularly cleaned and disinfected. There are hand sanitizer dispensers at the entrances, reception, public toilets and on each floor near the elevators.
Corridors and staircases, in addition to regular washing and disinfection of the handrails during the day, are additionally disinfected by fogging between 5 and 7 am. Unfortunately, some of you may hear sounds similar to the noise created by a working vacuum cleaner. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we can perform fogging with sprayed spirit at times when no one is walking in the corridors.
How does the staff stay safe while working and communicating with the Guest?
Every day, before commencing work, our personnel is subjected to temperature measurements and puts on protective masks or helmets. We have also modified all processes and tasks to minimize contacts between employees, ensuring their maximum safety. We also encourage our Guests to limit their physical contact with the staff to the necessary minimum, and to make any questions or orders over the phone.
Does Blue Marine Mielno have procedures for a situation in which a person from the staff or Guests of the facility develops symptoms indicating possible COVID-19 infection?
Restarting the facility and the rules of its current operation have been closely adapted to the recommendations and guidelines for hotel facilities specified by the Minister of Health and the Chief Sanitary Inspector. The conduct as well as isolation of people suspected of being infected is strictly defined by state procedures to which the center’s staff and the infected himself must absolutely comply.
Do I have to wear a mask in the common areas of the facility?
YES. In accordance with the applicable recommendations, hotel corridors are treated the same as any other indoor public place in Poland, and therefore we are all obliged to wear masks. We ask that you always wear your mask when you move around in common spaces. At the same time, please note that people who do not wear masks will not be allowed to enter the restaurant area by the staff, nor will they be served by the buffet service and reception staff. If you cannot wear the mask for health reasons, please provide an appropriate certificate when checking in at our facility - appropriate information will be prepared for the staff operating the restaurant and reception. If you do not have the appropriate certificate, the staff is obliged to enforce the recommendation to wear a mask from you, as from any other person staying on the premises of our facility.
Does the hotel provide Guests with masks, gloves and disinfectant liquid in the room?
As a hotel facility, we are obliged to provide hand disinfectants in the common areas. At the entrances, on each of the floors near the elevators, there are dispensers with disinfectant liquid. Personal protective equipment such as gloves and disposable masks, as well as hand disinfection gel can be purchased for a fee at the reception of the facility when going outside.
Can I be visited at Blue Marine by friends staying in another facility?
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers currently in force, there is an absolute prohibition on the presence of unaccompanied and unemployed persons on the premises of each accommodation facility. As Blue Marine Mielno, we also have to comply with these regulations, but as soon as the ban is lifted, we invite your friends to our lobby bar or restaurant.
Can children use the playroom?
Our playrooms MUST NOT be made available to Guests at this time. If the ban is lifted, the playroom will be available to children from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. with two 45-minute breaks during which the rooms will be aired and disinfected (breaks for disinfection are planned between 12.00 p.m. - 12.45 p.m. and 4.15 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.). Additionally, each night the rooms will be subjected to a disinfecting ozonation procedure.
What additional attractions will I be able to use during my stay?
We have a billiard room, ping-pong tables (exposed outside in rainless weather), foosball and an air hockey table. The rooms are disinfected 3 times a day with bacterial and virucidal agents (disinfected around 12.30, 17.00 and in the morning). ATTENTION! According to the current regulations, only people staying together can stay in the room, so we make it available every hour for 45 minutes, and then disinfect it before making it available to the next family.
Are there animations for children and adults?
So far, Blue Marine Mielno has offered a very extensive animation program, which, according to the applicable regulations, CANNOT be restarted until the regulations (restrictions) change. Whenever it is possible to resume the animation, a detailed Animation Program for children and adults will be available at our reception each time.
Can I borrow books or board games during my stay?
Blue Marine Mielno has a library for Guests and a rental of board games, which are available in our lobby. However, currently, in accordance with the recommendations of the sanitary services, we had to close the library and board game rental. As soon as sanitary regulations allow us to lend books and board games again - we will make them available to our Guests.
Can I use the electronic games room?
At Blue Marine Mielno, we have electronic games rooms, where you can play on X-box or Play Station consoles from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. with two 45-minute breaks during which the rooms are aired and disinfected (breaks for decontamination are planned between 12.00 p.m. - 12.45 p.m. and 4.15 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.). The games room is additionally disinfected every night. ATTENTION! According to the current regulations, only people staying together can stay in the room, so we make it available every hour for 45 minutes, and then disinfect it before making it available to the next family.
Are there spa treatments available?
SPA facilities are located on the first floor of Blue Marine Mielno (next to the x-box room and the Kulkolandia kids’ playroom). The offer of SPA services has been changed in connection with the entry into force of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers - more information is provided by the SPA reception (contact number 882-495-891) Registrations for treatments and massages can be made directly at the reception of SPA rooms on the first floor or by phone at 882-495-891
Is beach equipment available for hire?
Yes. We rent deckchairs and screens for a fee - there is one fee for the entire stay (up to 3 days or more than 3 days). The equipment is issued after paying the rental cost in advance at the reception. Sun loungers and screens must be returned on the day of departure at the latest. The equipment is disinfected before the next rental.
Are there bicycles or footbikes available for rent?
Yes. Bicycles and footbikes are displayed in front of the entrance to the facility. The equipment rental fee must be paid at the reception. After returning from the trip, the rented equipment is put away at the security desk (to the left of the entrance). After disinfection by an employee of Blue Marine Mielno, it is put away on the stand for further rental.
Is the swimming pool area available for use?
Our an indoor swimming pool, paddling pool for children, sauna and jacuzzi MUST NOT be made available to Guests at this time.
Blue Marine Mielno has an indoor swimming pool, paddling pool for children, sauna and jacuzzi. The pool area is open daily from 10.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m. (except Fridays 1 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturdays 8.00 a.m. - 10.00 p.m.). After 8 p.m., the pool area is open ONLY for adults. According to the current guidelines of the Ministry of Development and the Chief Sanitary Inspector, there can be 40 people using our swimming pool at a time. To ensure effective implementation of this and other recommendations, Guests of Blue Marine Mielno can use the swimming pool area in turns. Each turn starts at the full hour and lasts 45 minutes (a 15-minute technical break is intended for, among others, decontamination of cloakrooms and elements frequently touched by users. Entrance to the swimming pool area at selected times requires registration at the reception; the order of applications decides about the entry at a specific time (the first 30 people are registered at a given time). It is best to come to the swimming pool dressed up - for your common safety, please limit the time spent in the swimming pool locker rooms to a minimum. Lockers in cloakrooms are not available.
Is the roof terrace available for use?
Yes, you can use the roof terrace, accessed by stairs from the 7th floor (staircase with panoramic lift). The terrace is open daily from 9.00am to sunset. Before entering the terrace, please read the regulations of use carefully. In particular, it is forbidden to smoke tobacco or its substitutes, drink alcohol, and drink other beverages only from plastic cups or small plastic bottles on the terrace. Anyone found under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants, as well as those with balance disorders, and whose behavior may affect the safety of other users of the terrace, are strictly prohibited from entering the terrace area. ATTENTION! In the case of snow or ice on the terrace, the terrace will be closed until the cover is removed.
