Education through fun
playing and learning
“Playing while learning” - at Blue Marino Mielno, we make every effort to implement this enlightenment maxim of Bishop Ignacy Krasicki, because isn’t science linked with joy the most effective way to acquire new knowledge and skills?!
Attractive animations for children
In high season (from mid-June to mid-September) and during winter-term breaks, holidays and longer weekends, we invite children aged 5-12 to participate in numerous animations. Classes are organized 3 times a day in approximately 1.5-hour blocks - in the morning, afternoon and evening. The program of everyday activities is designed in such a way to intertwine creative activities with physical exercises and educational content. It should be borne in mind that your child will refuse to go to the beach or for a walk, because ... Martyna will “be teaching them how to make bracelets” You can find a sample animation plan HERE
WWF environmental education - fun and games
While staying at Blue Marine Mielno, you can enjoy the full benefits of the surrounding nature. Unfortunately, without our help and ecological sensitivity, the environment will continue to degrade. When could there be a better time for your children’s environmental education, if not while playing with other peers?
Therefore, we invite all young Guests to games and activities developed in cooperation and on the basis of WWF Poland programs. Your children can play and learn at the same time in our learning modules. You can also play our original ecological “Peter” game, which introduces endangered species in Poland and in the world and teaches about the right way to behave in situations that threaten wild animals. You can also find this knowledge useful - it is never too late to learn and act 😉
Pottery workshops for children
There is probably no child that doesn’t like to play with clay. During the holidays, Mr. Marian visits Blue Marine Mielno, teaches children what a pottery wheel looks like and how to use it. With his help and under his watchful eye, children “roll” bowls and cups on a wheel, which they then decorate with their own hands. Could there be a more beautiful holiday souvenir than a self-made and decorated vessel?
Family board game tournaments
In the era of ubiquitous electronics, is there still anybody interested in board games? Yes, there is! At Blue Marine Mielno, we regularly organize evenings with board games - those that require longer gameplay and solid concentration. Our “game depot” contains over 30 different “board games” that you can borrow from the animator on tournament evenings and play with your family or between families in our banquet hall. Maybe this will be an opportunity for your family to discover a common passion for “board games”, or maybe it will be the beginning of “traditional games” between befriended families?

Cold War Museum - Nuclear Object 3001 in Podborsko
The Cold War Museum is the fourth branch of the Polish Arms Museum in Podborsko, about 50 km from Kołobrzeg. The museum is located in the nuclear shelter, which was part of the secret nuclear base of the Soviet troops. Inside, you can admire a complete set of installations ensuring the possibility of safe service to the crew, storage rooms, a reloading hall with still operational devices for moving trolleys with heads. For our Guests awaits a qualified tour guide who offers a passionate presentation of not only the history of the base itself, but also the history of the Cold War in Western Pomerania and the whole country. Among all the Warsaw Pact countries, only the Soviet Army was allowed to have nuclear warheads in its permanent arsenal. In February 1967 in Moscow, an agreement was signed between the authorities of the USSR and the People’s Republic of Poland to create three bases-warehouses of this type of weapon on the territory of Poland. The selected locations were Podborsko near Białogard, Brzeźnica-Kolonia near Born Sulinowo and Templewo in the Lubuskie Land.

The Blücher Bunkers in Ustka
Museum in bunkers from World War II Blűcher - a complex of German bunkers from the 1930s - is located close to the center of Ustka, right next to the western port breakwater. On the 12-meter dune - the highest hill overlooking the beach - there was a cannon station of the so-called guiding cannon. The bunker has two floors. The upper bunker had a 105 mm caliber cannon on top. The steel seat of the cannon’s rotary mechanism has been preserved in the center of the plane surrounded by ammunition niches. In the lower, hidden part of the cannon station, there are shelters for service personnel, connected by an underground corridor with the command and fire control bunker, on the upper platform of which there was a rangefinder, which allowed to track potential targets.
This place is to provide knowledge about history in an accessible, interactive form. Currently, the most interesting point is the underground, where there is a modern multimedia museum with films, dioramas and realistic mannequins in uniforms. The exhibition shows the horror of war and the nonsense of the enormous efforts made by the Nazis to make Ustka a military Fortress, which was never completed.
